When to call

Any of these sound familiar? Call and describe what you’re seeing.

Victor lying in a crawlspace working on copper supply lines with a work light
Working copper supply lines from the crawlspace
  • Visible drips around pipes, valves or fixtures
  • Damp cabinets, stained ceilings or warped flooring
  • A water bill that jumps without explanation
  • The sound of running water when everything is off
  • A leak that returns after a temporary fix

Check for a hidden leak yourself

If you suspect a leak you can’t see, turn off every faucet and water-using appliance, then look at your water meter. If the meter’s dial or leak indicator keeps moving with everything off, water is going somewhere. Note what you saw and share it when you call.

Repair one section or replace more?

A single failed fitting or section can often be repaired. Repeated leaks in different places can be a sign that more of the piping is reaching the end of its life. Ask Victor to explain the condition of the surrounding pipe and the reason behind any recommendation, and see repiping if leaks have become a pattern.

Updated

What information should I share about a leak?

Describe where you see water, when it started and whether you can safely stop the flow. Photos help explain the situation when arranging service.

How can I tell if I have a hidden water leak?

Turn off all faucets and water-using appliances, then check your water meter. If it keeps moving, you likely have a leak. Unexplained high water bills, damp spots and the sound of running water are other common signs.

Do you repair pinhole leaks in copper pipe?

Yes. Pinhole leak repair and leak detection are among Circulation Plumbing’s services. If pinholes keep appearing in different places, ask whether the surrounding pipe is reaching the end of its life and whether repiping is worth considering.

Will repairing a leak require opening a wall or floor?

It depends on where the affected pipe is. Ask for the estimate to identify any access openings required and whether patching or finish restoration is included or handled separately.

Can you replace leaking pipes?

Yes. Pipe repair and replacement are among Circulation Plumbing’s residential services. The right scope depends on the condition and location of the affected piping.

Should I turn off my water if I find a leak?

If water is actively leaking and you can’t stop it at the fixture’s own shutoff valve, close the home’s main water shutoff and call (323) 445-9641.
