Copper & PEX Repiping in the South Bay

Circulation Plumbing replaces aging water supply lines with copper or PEX in South Bay homes and condos, and runs new main water service lines. Repiping makes sense when leaks keep returning in different places or the existing pipe is corroded. The estimate should spell out the material, the rooms affected, wall access and when water will be off.

“He replaced three of my outside faucets, and while doing so, discovered that the copper pipe just upstream of one of the faucets had a flaw in it that could develop into a leak… The workmanship could not have been better.”

  • Considering replacement of aging water or drain lines

Copper or PEX?

Both are common choices for repiping. Copper is a rigid metal pipe with a long track record. PEX is a flexible plastic tubing that can often be routed with fewer fittings and less wall access. The better choice depends on your home, its existing plumbing, access and budget. Victor will walk you through the options in your estimate.

Plan the scope before opening the walls

A repipe is a home project, not just a pipe purchase. Discuss which systems are affected, access, material options and the project sequence. Confirm in writing which rooms will be affected, whether drywall patching is included or handled by someone else, and when water service will be interrupted.

Updated

Do you offer copper and PEX repiping?

Yes. Circulation Plumbing offers both copper and PEX home repiping. Material selection is discussed as part of the project assessment.

How do I know if my home needs repiping?

Common signs are repeated leaks in different places, low pressure throughout the home, and rusty or discolored water from older galvanized pipe. Age alone doesn’t settle it. Ask for the reason behind any recommendation to repipe.

Should galvanized pipes be repaired or replaced?

Galvanized steel pipe corrodes from the inside over time, which can reduce pressure and cause leaks. Whether to repair a section or replace it depends on its condition. Ask Victor to explain the proposed scope before approving a repipe.

Does a repiping estimate include wall repairs?

Ask explicitly. The estimate should identify the plumbing work, access openings, any patching or finish restoration, and any work assigned to another contractor.

Do you replace the main water service line?

Yes. Circulation Plumbing runs new water service lines, the pipe that carries water from the meter to the house. Low pressure throughout the home or a leak in the yard can point to a failing service line.

Can repiping be coordinated with a remodel?

Yes. Circulation Plumbing handles remodel plumbing as well as repiping. Call before the project begins to plan the scope and scheduling.
